We've just acquired our third repeater as of this morning. This repeater, a Motorola XPR8300 will be placed at a location TBD. We're hoping to find something in or near a major town that has decent HAAT, electricity, and internet access. If you have or know of a location we can use (a tower, an accessible rooftop, a satellite, etc) let us know here!

Our second BETA repeater is currently on the air having acquired an official ID and we hope to have it up at its permanent home by Summer of 2015. This repeater, on 442.0250 CC1 currently located at Matt's QTH provides coverage into downtown Saint Paul and the surrounding neighborhoods. It will eventually be located in Prior Lake, south of the Metro, and should provide decent coverage both South and West of the cities.

We're currently halfway finished with bringing internet to our University of Minnesota - Saint Paul campus site. This will allow us to move our main Metro repeater to a better location with improved coverage as well as alleviate many of the interference and packet loss issues we've been experiencing at the current Minneapolis site. This project should be completed within the next week or two so stay tuned!

Many changes are in store as we continue to roll out DMR coverage to the cities. We hope you're as excited as we are to be on the cutting edge of our hobby. If you have ideas you'd like to share, catch us on the air or send us an email - we'd love to hear them. You can also meet us in person at the 34th annual Midwinter Madness hamfest in Buffalo, MN this Saturday March 28th from 8:00am - 1:00pm. We'll have a portable repeater and a sampling of radios you can try out on the DMR system. As always, more updates to follow. In the meantime, we look forward to hearing you on the air!

73's de Jason - NH7CY
